On our Road to Hana tour, we will be passing on of the coolest little historic towns of maui. Pai'a town started as a plantation town with the opening of Paia store in 1896 to serve the needs of the multi cultural plantation workers of Paia Sugar Mill.

Ke'anae Peninsula is a dramatic half-mile long massive finger of newer lava sticking out from the cliff line of Hana Hwy. Historically, Ke'anae has been a taro producing Hawaiian Village, and much of the lands is in taro Lo'i today.
