Iolani Palace

This is home to the Hawaii Supreme Court. The gold leaf Kamehameha Statue should look familiar as it was featured in the opening credits of the Hawaii Five-O television show.

Constructed between 1836 - 1842, it is the 2nd oldest church in Hawaii. It was constructed using approx. 14,000 thousand-pound slabs of coral rock.

On windy days and when the tide is high, waves roll on to the shore and the blowhole then shoots sea spray as high as thirty feet into the air.
