Hanapepe
Historic Hanapepe town was revitalized after World War II and turned into an artsy haven. Here you will be able to walk across the swinging bridge that crosses the Hanapepe River, built in 1912, visit art galleries, a very cool and quirky book store, shop for locally made souvenirs and crafts, and enjoy lunch at one of the local eateries; Ku'ulei gourmet, Bobbys, and Midnight Bear bakery. Hanapepe is a lovely little town that preserves the charm of the old sugar plantation days in its architecture.
