Overview

There are two parts to the hike: a jungle trail and a coastal trail. The jungle trail is 10 minutes. The coastal trail is 30 minutes. The first half of the coastal trail is moderately difficult due to the lava rock terrain. The second half is easier with a more visible trail. In some sections, you're 75 feet above the water with amazing views. If you're physically limited or have bad balance, you shouldn't do this.

There are several tide pools along the coast, but hardly anyone knows about this one. Getting there is the epitome of "off the beaten path".

The pool is refreshing and magical. This will be the purest water you've ever swam in.

One of the main features is an area where the waves break against the cliffs. Water is shot into the air as high as 50 feet! This will be the photo opportunity of a lifetime.

The surrounding terrain is a playground. There are many organisms to observe like fish, crabs, urchins, sea slugs, opihi, coral, and the occasional sea turtle in the ocean.
