GENERAL INFORMATION |
|
Kona Village is where celebrities come to relax and be treated like everyone else, which is to say warmly. Legions of guests return annually. Begun in 1965 when access was by private plane on the resort's landing strip, Kona Village has since tripled in size.
The resort achieves a serene atmosphere by restricting vehicles to the sand parking lot. Paths are of natural earth, not pavement. The only telephones are located in a phone center with Internet access, which is also the only air-conditioned space at the resort. Peace is maintained by the lack of televisions, radios, CD players, and clocks. Nothing interferes with the natural rhythms and sounds of oceanside life regulated by sunrises and sunsets.
Kona Village Resort occupies the site of a fishing village that was home to 10,000 ancient Hawaiians. When they abandoned the site they left behind burial and ceremonial caves, petroglyphs, and a few lava-rock house foundations

Village Dining
Two oceanfront dining rooms, Hale Moana and Hale Samoa, offer cuisine that highlights Hawaii's fresh ingredients, from the ocean and the land. The talented culinary staff weaves flavors of the Pacific with French Polynesia to create tantalizing meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Tuesday evenings Kona Village celebrates the Big Island's cowboy culture at Paniolo Night with food, music and song. Wednesday and Friday evenings we are home to the island's longest running luau, our award-winning aha'aina at Hale Ho'okipa.

Aloha Kakahiaka
Some sample items from Aloha Kakahiaka (breakfast) include: Tropical Fruit Plate, Macadamia Nut Pancakes, Eggs Benedict, Omelets and Hawaiian Style French Toast. Lunch has a daily selection of freshly made salads, organic lettuce and field greens from the Big Island, cold fruit soup, selection of shell fish, sashimi, island fruits and hot entr�e items. Our chefs prepare fresh fish, beef, chicken, lamb, hot dogs and hamburgers on a rotating basis on an open grill. Lunch would not be complete without an array of assorted tropical desserts and local Big Island ice cream
Hale Moana
Dinner at the Hale Moana features a selection of appetizers, soups, salads, entr��es and desserts, with specialties rotating nightly. The cuisine reflects Hawiian, Pacific Rim, and Japanese influences.
Hale Samoa
The intimate Hale Samoa features Polynesian cuisine influenced by Chinese, French and Italian traditions. Its menu is as intriguing as its Samoan setting. Dinner at the Hale Samoa features a selection of appetizers, soups, salads, desserts, with specialties rotating nightly. Among the favorites of this candle-lit restaurant are Papaya and Coconut Bisque, Fresh Opakapaka, Fresh Baby Abalone.

How to get to the hotel? |

Keahole-Kona International Airport (KOA)
Approximate driving time to Kona Village Resort is 10 minutes and distance is 6.5 miles.
Driving directions from Keahole-Kona International:
From the airport, turn right to take State Hwy 19 (Queen Kaahumanu Hwy) south. After about 6.2 miles, take the third left onto Kaupulehu Dr and follow signs to the resort.
Getting There
The best option from the airport is a rental car or a taxi.
Getting Around
A rental car is essential for seeing the sights on the Big Island. Guest parking at the hotel is complimentary.

Please note that, should you prefer, you are able to supply your credit card information by fax. We are unable to accept your reservation request without credit card details, though you will only be billed once your booking has been confirmed, the credit card information verified and our confirmation voucher sent to you by email.

-The full amount will be charged at the moment of confirmation.
Cancellation Policy
-If cancellation is received 15 days or more prior to arrival, then a 20% of the full amount will be lost.
-If a cancellation is received 14 days or less prior to arrival, then a 2 night charged will be assessed.
-No shows will result on the full amount being charged as a cancellation fee.
Children Policy
-Children over the age of 12 are considered as adults.
-Children requiring their own room are charged as adults.

Internet Hotel Rental Group acts as intermediary between all hotels, transport operators, tourist attraction companies, and local tourist offices providing the services. Internet Hotel Rental Group is therefore not responsible for any loss, injury or damage sustained by the tourists; including those occurring outside of the touring programmes. Additional expenses incurred due to delay, accident, acts of God or political actions / unrest must be borne by the tourists. Programmes and prices, services and conditions are based on those valid at the time of being posted on the site. They are therefore subject to change without advance notice before or during the tour / stay / excursion / car rental. A submitted reservation request is indicative of the tourist agreement to the above conditions.

Price & Payment
Unless otherwise stated, at the time of booking only a deposit is due. The remanining balance is payable on check-in and charged by the hotel direct. hotel-savings.com accepts Visa, Mastercard & American Express.
For security purposes, should your reservation incur a charge in excess of USD 400.00, you must submit a signed credit card authorization form. This will be supplied upon confirmation of the reservation. If you fail to fax across this documentation within 48 hours, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation. Please note that as per our cancellation policy, there may be a fee for this.
Flight Information
If you are to arrive at your hotel after 5pm, please provide Hotelrentalgroup with your flight information, so that we may be able to advise the hotel of what time they can expect you. Should your flight be delayed, we strongly recommend that you contact the hotel directly to inform them of this.
Period of Stay / Rate Calculation
All stays are calculated and sold "per night". We can only guarantee a room until noon (12pm). Late check-outs can be requested at the moment of reservation in the additional comments box, but may come at an additional fee (usually 50% of the nightly rate).
Cancellation Policies & Charges
Cancellations must be received in writing by e-mail, with as much notice as possible. Penalty fees may apply. Please check the terms & conditions, as these policies vary from hotel to hotel.
Cancellation Charges On All Reservations
-On all confirmed reservations, 20% of the total amount will be lost.
-Further cancellation charges may apply depending on the hotel.

No Shows
No Shows will result in a 100% penalty fee.
Reservation & Confirmation
All reservations made on the web sites operated by hotel-savings.com will receive a temporary confirmation number. This temporary number does not mean that the hotel room is available and is only for administrative purposes. Your final confirmation will be sent to you on your official confirmation voucher within 24 hours, unless, due to unforeseen circumstances, the hotel does not get back to us within this time frame. hotel-savings.com is not responsible for any such delays.
Early departures
In addition to the standard cancellation policy, we would like to stress the point that the hotels are very strict regarding changes to the length of clients’ stays. Therefore we would like to inform you that clients departing before their booked check out date will be charged for the remaining nights and, no being made for unused nights.
Check In & Check Out Policy
Your room will be made available to you from 14h00 (unless stated otherwise in the terms & conditions of the hotel). Should you require a guaranteed early check in, the room must be booked and paid for in full for the day preceeding your stay.
Check out time is 12:00 hrs. For a guaranteed late check-out, clients should book for an additional night, charged at 100%.

All special offers, packages and discounts over our standard rates are offered subject to availability. hotel-savings.com cannot accept any responsibility in the unlikely event that these are temporarily unavailable.

In order to secure a room, it is mandatory to have a credit card.
General Conditions and liability
All reservations made by clients are subject to our terms and conditions. No other terms, conditions and warranties, expressed or implied by law, custom and course of dealing shall form part of any contract between hotel-savings.com and our clients except for those terms imposed by law where application is mandatory.
The client acknowledges that in making a reservation with hotel-savings.com they do so only on the basis of the material contained in the hotel-savings.com Web Site or relevant advertising medium. All other statements or representations made by hotel-savings.com, its employees, agents or sub-contractors are of no effect unless confirmed in writing by hotel-savings.com to the client.
hotel-savings.com sources hotels from various hotel companies in the countries in which it operates. The condition of the stay will be subject to the law of the country in which it is supplied to you. You will be subject to its terms and conditions and local law.
hotel-savings.com reserves the right to pass on to the client any government increase in local VAT or other taxes that may be introduced after a reservation is made. Any additional charges payable on arrival are subject to local VAT at the prevailing rate in that country.
The liability of hotel-savings.com to the client for any loss, problem, damage or cancellation, whether arising out of negligence, breach of contract, error or any other cause shall not exceed the invoiced total value of the confirmation voucher supplied by hotel-savings.com.
